I have a background in food: I have worked as a chef in Sydney, London and New Zealand. I have also worked as a cookery teacher, and a published food writer for a regional daily newspaper. I have completed a Master’s thesis on the history of food in New Zealand from a leisure perspective. The history of food in NZ is fairly similar to that in Australia. I have travelled extensively with an eye for food and art, which satisfies my interest in art history.
